Upgrade your home, office, or simulator bay with the Big Moss General Putting Green. A versatile, high-performance short-game surface built for year-round practice. Measuring 6 ft × 12 ft, this green provides ample space for accurate putting drills and short pitch work, all in a compact footprint ideal for most indoor environments.
The General features a refined rubber-backed, high-density turf that lies flat without wrinkling, even on carpeted surfaces. This ensures true roll and consistent feedback every stroke. Thanks to its built-in downgrain contour, your putts track naturally toward the cups, simulating real-course conditions. Use the included break pads to introduce subtle slopes, sidehill breaks, and terrain contours, giving you full control over your practice setup.
Included accessories elevate your experience: a stadium-style backstop catches stray putts, a durable chipping mat lets you practice chip shots, and the set also contains flagsticks, cup sleeves, and specialized chipping balls to get you started right away.
Lightweight yet sturdy at about 38 lbs, the General sets up in minutes and packs down easily. It’s a long-term training tool that silences impact noise, preserves space, and elevates your short-game routine.

Q: What makes the Big Moss General different from other models?
A: The General offers the perfect balance between size and versatility. At 6 ft × 12 ft, it’s large enough for realistic putting practice but compact enough to fit comfortably in most indoor spaces. Its premium turf construction provides a true roll and reliable feedback for improving distance control and aim.
Q: Can this putting green be used both indoors and outdoors?
A: Yes. The General can be used in either environment. The rubber-backed, wrinkle-resistant surface lays flat on carpet, concrete, or hardwood floors and performs equally well outdoors on level ground. For long-term durability, it’s best to store the mat indoors when not in use.
Q: Does the green include contours or slopes?
A: Yes. The General includes Break Pads, allowing you to create realistic slopes and breaks. You can easily simulate uphill, downhill, or sidehill putts by placing pads underneath the turf in various configurations.
Q: Is setup complicated?
A: Not at all. The General arrives rolled and ready for quick assembly. Simply unroll the turf, insert the cups and flags, position your backstop, and place the Break Pads beneath the surface to achieve your desired break pattern. Setup typically takes less than 10 minutes.
Q: Can I chip onto this green?
A: Absolutely. The General’s durable turf is built to withstand light chipping and short approach shots, making it a great all-around short-game training tool.
Q: Does it include a backstop?
A: Yes. A stadium-style backstop is included to prevent putts and chips from rolling beyond the surface, helping keep your practice area neat and contained.
Q: How do I care for and store my putting green?
A: To maintain performance, occasionally vacuum or brush the surface to remove dust and debris. When storing, roll (do not fold) the mat with the turf side facing outward, and keep it in a cool, dry area to preserve its smooth surface.
