The Dornier Medilas H20 is a pulsed solid-state Holmium:YAG laser system designed for the fragmentation of urinary and kidney stones (lithotripsy), as well as for soft tissue applications across multiple medical specialties. It emits laser radiation at a wavelength of 2080 nm (commonly referred to as 2.1 μm), which is highly absorbed by water, resulting in precise ablation with minimal penetration (~0.4 mm), making it ideal for delicate tissue work and stone fragmentation.
