Join us in another tasting of That Boutique-y Whisky. The brand has been around for a number of years now, but has mainly focused in the UK. They were launched by UK-based spirits producer and retailer, Master of Malt, and they bottle single malts, single grains, bourbons, gins, rums, and they also produce blended malts and blends. These whiskies are usually adorned by cultish, novel-style, quirky labels that sometimes feature prominent figures from the whisky industry. They are often filled with in-house jokes and terrible puns.

When they first started, the whiskies did not come with any age statements. But from 2016 onwards, all single malts now have the age statements, due to the interest of whisky fans, and also part of supporting the campaign of Scotch whisky transparency that John Glaser of Compass Box launched earlier that year.

We are very privileged to have not just one but two fantastic people presenting this tasting. Joining us all the way from UK is the Global Brand Ambassador, Dave Worthington and Asia Pacific Sales Manager, Simon McGoram (all the way from Bondi, NSW).

Dave Worthington is a well-known figure in the whisky industry (and incredibly knowledgeable), and started his journey with his whisky blog "Whisky Discovery" way back in 2011. He joined Boutique-y Whisky Co. about 2017, and has been busy travelling (until 2020 obviously) to whisky shows across the globe, presenting masterclasses and tastings, and chatting about all things whisky to whisky fans. In 2018, Dave was recognised as Whisky Magazine's "Rest of the World" Whisky Brand Ambassador of the Year!

Simon McGoram probably needs no introduction. Hailing from NSW, Simon is an industry veteran. A fantastic bartender, bar owner, and for the past few years he was National brand ambassador for Diageo Australia. He carries with him a wealth of experience and knowledge.
