Description:
Ulisse Mattei (1876-1947) was the first organist at the Basilica of the Holy House (Santa Casa) in Loreto, a famous pilgrimage and sightseeing spot, and later became a teacher at the Turin Conservatory, where he was called "il Principe degli organisti" (the prince of organists). The works of various composers such as Debussy, Fauré, and Liszt, including J.S. Bach's "Chaconne," are arranged with the fantastic sound of the organ. Performed by Fausto Caporari, the first organist of Cremona Cathedral, who has released Matti's "Complete Original Works for Organ and Harmonium" (TC871380). Tokyo M Plus
