His passionate, emotionally charged, and soulful performances drew the sympathies of many, and he was loved by many with a charismatic following. To commemorate the 100th anniversary of his birth, 50 titles are being released in a limited edition on UHQCD with a green color label coating and specifications that focus on sound quality. This is a live recording of a concert held in April 1990 at a church near Bayreuth. The Great Mass in C minor is Mozart's second most famous work of religious music after the Requiem, which is also unfinished. Bernstein moves the music forward at a leisurely tempo, creating a world of his own. Ave Verum Corpus" and "Exultate Ubilate," both popular for their melodic beauty, are also included.
