Overview

The EG2-4C2 is Inspire Robots' higher-force electric gripper — sharing the same compact linear mechanical linkage architecture as the EG2-4B2 but delivering 0–20N grip force, 33% stronger than the 4B2. It combines precise force and position control, a large 70mm full stroke, and power-off self-locking in a 231g package, all over a single RS485 connection.

Where the EG2-4B2 prioritizes speed, the EG2-4C2 prioritizes force — trading a slightly longer 1.3s closing time for the additional grip strength needed in heavier payload handling, firmer part assembly, and demanding industrial tasks. Power-off self-locking holds the grip position when power is cut — no energy draw, no part drop. IP40 rated for standard industrial and laboratory environments.
