Baumann & Stoll's second release is a colorful collection of works written for the cello and double bass, which play the role of supporting the bass part in orchestral and chamber music, and for their own instruments, including a harpsichord dehlinck. Just before this recording, Baumann, then principal cello of the Berlin Philharmonic, spent his entire fortune to acquire a Goffriller (1700), and Stoll, now principal double bass, a Magini (1610). The beautiful sound is also a highlight of this album. This recording, like the first one, was also well received in Europe. Camerata Tokyo
