Australian guitarist Timothy (Tim) Kane is highly acclaimed by guitar composers around the world. For this album, Tim asked four talented creators to write songs for him, and they wrote their own compositions for him. The work is said to have used "non-standard tuning" to explore a new sound. The listener comes into contact with the work with a somewhat uneasy heart and gains something from it. With two guitarists in the family, a father and an uncle, Isaacs, under Tim's tutelage, took to composing guitar music, something he had been reluctant to do at first. Music for My Father" is both a dedication to Tame and a tribute to his father and uncle. Houghton's "Goldfish" suite was composed around 1977. A revised version is performed in this concert. Westlake's "Mostlooper Peak" was commissioned by Tim. The music has a beautiful and nostalgic tune that depicts the scenery of the east coast of Australia. Naxos Japan
