Description:
This is the fourth album by Aziza Brahim, a musician who was born in a refugee camp in Western Sahara in 1976, studied in Cuba, and now lives and works in Barcelona, Spain. The title "Hamada" refers to the rocky desert area in the Sahara Desert. This album, which was created with an awareness of contemporary West African music, retains the folky elements heard on the previous album "Your Voice," while offering groovier and more danceable arrangements. A compilation of the musical culture scattered around the Sahara Desert, written with appealing voices and arrangements!
