The Oxygen II 8.2mm Unicore is a rugged half rope designed for mountaineering and trad climbing. It features Edelweiss's SuperEverDry Treatment for extremely high water resistance, as well as HD Cover, a technology through which each cover thread is individually controlled, as opposed to standard braiding where the threads are controlled by pairs. Thus, the rope surface is much smoother than with a standard braiding and the rope doesn’t generate extra braking in belay systems.

The Oxygen II now uses Unicore construction that essentially bonds sheath and core into one.
