Description: At Copper Fox Distillery, we pride ourselves on crafting a truly original rye whisky. Our recipe starts with 2/3 Virginia rye and 1/3 Virginia barley, both of which are hand-malted and kiln-dried with apple wood and cherry wood smoke. The mixture is then double pot-stilled between 150 - 160 proof and aged for 14 months using a progressive series of hand-cut apple and oak chips inside used bourbon barrels. The result is a savory and complex whisky with a characteristic Wasmund's finish.

In terms of taste, this copper-colored rye has vibrant aromas of clay, butter-roasted chestnuts, pickling spice, and rye grain sacks. The flavor is silky, dry-yet-fruity, and medium-to-full bodied. The finish is long and well balanced, making it the perfect rye whisky for all occasions.
