Each round chime or mini gong is mounted on a spinner, which creates the most dynamic sound when spun. It is something you need to hear if this is new to you.

This finish is a natural patina so each chime will be unique! The patina may also progress over time; this will not hurt the tuning. Lubricant or wax can be used to keep them looking bright!

Like other metal instruments, heat and temperature will create fluctuations in the tuning. We recommend you play them at room temperature and do not leave them in direct sunlight for extended periods of time.

These chimes WILL have visible hammer marks on them - some will have 1 or 2, some may have 100s - this is an integral part of the tuning process - this is not an esthetic flaw or dent - these are fine tuned by hammering - some will need more hammering than others.

We recommend you have these round chimes retuned around every 4-5 years - This is a service that Acolyte Instruments offers, but you can also do this job yourself if you feel brave enough!
