So what's an Active Jacket?

I'd describe it as a blend of a hoody and a jacket.  I think the term "soft shell jacket" was a thing back at the turn of the millenium.  Think fit profile of a hoody with the features you'd expect in a jacket.

I've retired my Detroit jacket (well its been stolen by my son..) and this is now my go to winter Carhartt jacket.  

It's made from 12oz Duck, but its the washed version so is softer and more flexible than firm Duck straight away.  It's not waterproof, but is extremely warm as it features a 80g 3M Thinsulate liner.  I also like the generous sized hood which is still comfortable for me to have up even when wearing a beanie.

Features;

• Two lower front pockets
• Two interior pockets, one with zipper.
• Storm flap on main zip
• Triple Stitched main seams
• Main fabric is 100% cotton but the liner is Nylon.

These are a loose workwear fit.  I like things on the baggy side and the XL fits me perfectly.  I'm 100Kg and 6'2".  That's with a couple of layers on underneath.  If you prefer a closer fit then think about sizing down.  Otherwise just go for your normal t-shirt size.
