Picardy Wines, founded in 1993 by Bill, Sandra, and Dan Pannell, is a family-owned winery in Western Australia’s Pemberton region, renowned for its refined, Old World–inspired wines. The vineyard’s gravelly, loamy soils, combined with a cool maritime climate moderated by southern ocean breezes, provide ideal conditions for Pinot Noir. Grapes are hand-harvested and carefully sorted, with traditional fermentation including partial whole-bunch inclusion to enhance perfume and fine tannin structure. The wine matures for around 10 months in French oak barriques (about 30% new), delivering subtle oak integration and complexity without overshadowing the fruit.
