Description:
The Keith Jarrett Standers Trio, which has produced numerous live masterpieces, is releasing its long-awaited live album five years after its 30th anniversary and last concert in Japan and "Sam Whore"! This album was recorded live at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center in 1998, the first time Keith Jarrett performed as a trio since his return from a two-year absence due to an incurable chronic fatigue syndrome he contracted in 1996. Keith Jarrett himself said, "Once again, I was amazed at how great this concert sounded. Not only is this a documentary of my recovery from illness, but it is a truly amazing show." commented Keith Jarrett. Performing mainly on the high road of the Great American Songbook with his like-minded improvising partners, Gary Peacock and Jack DiJohnette, Keith's performance is contemporary with his first piano solo work, "Melody at Night," released in 1998 as his first work back in the field, and "Whisper Knot," a 1999 trio live performance in Paris, The performance is from the same period as "Melody at Night, With You", his first solo piano work released in 1998, and "Whisper Not", released in 1999, which was recorded live as a trio in Paris, and is a moving work that shows Keith's joy of return as well as his performance that is as good as his other great records!
