Description:
A masterpiece of the new era born of the Corona disaster. A collection of dances brilliantly performed by Linus Ross! In the spring of 2020, when the Corona disaster caused many concert cancellations, Linus Ross decided to make this album. Inspired by the notebooks in which he had been writing down his ideas, Linus Ross decided to create this album. The result is "Virtuoso Dances," a collection of duos for violin and piano, which is his specialty, as well as "dances" that combine brilliant technique with the beauty of the violin. The piano is played by José Gajardo, with whom the duo has been collaborating for many years. This session recording was made under difficult circumstances, and the musicians give a performance that is full of the joy of playing together. The performance dances beautifully in the library hall of the former library of the monastery in Baden-Württemberg. Linus Ross was born in 1977 in Ravensburg, Germany, and made his CD debut with EMI in 2006. Since then, among violinists of his generation, he has attracted particular attention for his activities in performing works by composers and masterpieces that have been buried in history. He has also made a strong effort to discover buried works, actively recording Weinberg's works on the Challenge Classics label. Ross is building a world that only he can realize. King International
