Organic Argan Oil is sourced from the kernel or seed of the fruit of the Argan tree exclusively in south-west Morocco where the Argan tree is known as their “tree of life”. In 2014 the unique area where these trees grow was designated as a UNESCO site to preserve the tradition of the people who live there. The Argan trees in SW Morocco provide a true barrier to the growing desert and can live up to two hundred years. There is also a culinary form of organic Argan oil, often made after the nuts are roasted.
