Ezaki Koji
Description:
Koji Ezaki takes on the challenge of a solitary world... The second project of the complete collection of Paradise of the Flute! Jacob van Eyck's (1589/90-1657) "Paradise of the Flute" is a vast collection of 151 pieces (XYZ edition) for solo instruments, an important repertoire for recorder players, but considering its fame and opportunities to be performed, recordings of the complete work are extremely rare, especially in Japan. Following the release of Vol. 1 in June 2017, the second volume of Ezaki's epic project is now available, and it includes some of the most popular pieces from the Flute Paradise Collection, such as "The English Nightingale" and "Amarillo Uruwashi," making it an accessible collection. The album is also a very vivid one, with Koji Ezaki, a multi-instrumentalist, using as many as 11 different instruments. The liner notes by Ezaki himself are well worth reading to deepen your understanding of this music.
