Ear piercings are one of the oldest known forms of body modifications. Earrings can be dated back as far as ancient Persia, ancient Egypt and has even been referenced in the bible. Having your ears pierced is also a coming-of-age ritual in various cultures all over the world. 

When Marc was 20 and living in Israel he asked his friend to pierce four holes in his right ear. 

Marc made all his own jewellery and would mix up the colours and materials. When he took his first corporate job, he decided to take out his earrings, but he still can be seen wearing them from time to time.
