ABOUT THE THERAPIST
My name is Monika. I have been practicing massage since 2019, and I trained in Ayurvedic healing massage with Naga Kumar in Mysore, India. The training was not only about technique, but also about how our emotions affect the body.
Have you noticed how stress or emotional tension can show up in your shoulders, neck, jaw, or lower back? Massage can help release some of these blocks. Before we start, I like to have a short conversation to understand what is going on in your life and body, so we can work together to soften patterns that might be holding you back.
I also studied Past Life Therapy with the same teacher. This gave me a deeper sense of how emotional patterns, whether from this life or something we do not fully understand, can affect both body and mind. This view helps me approach each session as a whole, looking at the links between your physical, emotional, and subtle layers.
Yoga has been a big part of my life for many years. I have practiced yoga for 8 years and hold a 300 hour Yoga Therapy certificate from the Svastha Yoga and Ayurveda school, where I studied with Ganesh and A. G. Mohan. I also hold a 500 hour certificate in Ashtanga yoga and spent 8 years studying under the close guidance of Dr Vijay Manja in Pandeshwar, India.
Through my own practice, I have seen how the body stores tension and how, with the right support, it can release and return to a more natural state of balance. I bring this experience into each massage, so you can leave feeling more relaxed, clear, and connected with yourself.
I believe that wellbeing is not a one time event and it cannot be “fixed” in a single session. This is why I offer you my hand and my guidance to start walking the path towards wellbeing together. My wish is that you slowly understand how your own system works, so you can care for yourself with more clarity and be able to continue in a steady, sustainable way on your own.
My aim is to create a warm, safe space where you can unwind, let go of tension, and reconnect with your body and mind. Whether you come for deep rest, support with stress, or to feel more at home in yourself, I am here to meet you where you are.
