Installation Instructions of Bug Seal (If Applicable for Closeout Style)

Installing the fuzzy bug seal on an Airstream screen door closeout (Part #203287-02) involves applying adhesive-backed fuzzy weatherstripping to the edges of the plastic slider panel to seal gaps and prevent insects from entering.

• Airstream Fuzzy Window Arm / Bug Seal (Part #683946-01)
• Adhesive: 3M Plastic Emblem & Trim Adhesive, Goop, or high-strength contact cement
• Cleaning Supplies: Acetone or rubbing alcohol (for cleaning surface)
• Scissors/Razor Blade

1. Remove Old Seal and Clean: Remove the old, worn-out fuzzy seal from the 203287-02 closeout panel. Clean the surface thoroughly with alcohol or adhesive remover to ensure the new adhesive sticks properly.
2. Measure and Cut: Cut the fuzzy seal to fit the length of the cut-out notch opening of slider panel.
3. Apply Adhesive: Apply a thin layer of contact cement or 3M trim adhesive to the plastic closeout panel where the seal will go.
4. Install the Seal: Place the fuzzy seal onto the adhesive. The edge of the fuzzy seal that has the single reinforcing thread should face the center of the screen cutout.
5. Remove Thread: Once the adhesive has set, carefully remove the single thread from the fuzzy seal.
6. Verify Alignment: The strips of fuzzy seal, when the closeout is installed, should create a tight seal when the slider is closed.
