Description:
He was active in the Norwegian music scene in the 70's and 80's mainly as an engineer/producer, and was also the bassist for the local pop band DOODLE BUGS and the hard progressive band LUCIFER WAS, etc. He passed away in October '21. This is the only album by the solo project of Rolf Kjernet, a musician from Norway, who passed away in October '21, but his works were released on CD for the first time in '22 with newly remastered and digisleeved version from NorskeAlbumklassikere. The sound is a new wave sound with fast and colorful synths and hard bass/drums, which is typical of the early 80's. However, it also has a colorful pop sense with small but tight arrangements, and the obscenity of the lilting vocals and acoustic guitars is also evident. The album also incorporates elements of 70's British rock, such as the obscenity of the droning vocals, the unique Scandinavian folkiness of 'Den Norske Nordmann' and 'Masken Falt' with their acoustic guitars, and the mellow guitars of 'Du Vet, Jeg Vet' that sink into the listener's ear.The eclectic musicality of this album is not a simple one, and its own flavor can be heard in its eclectic musicality! The master was newly remastered by Giert Claussen, the engineer who handles all of the label's releases, based on the master distributed by Norway:Universal.
