About the OFYR® Food Bumper

The cooking plates on OFYR® cooking units are angled slightly downwards towards the center. Once the cooking plates are heated, the center will descend slightly lower. The result is that various foods, including tomatoes and greasy items, tend to gravitate towards the center of the cooking plate and fall into the fire. To prevent this, the OFYR® Food Bumper was created with precision and expertise. The elevated steel edge prevents food from falling, while allowing for easy cleaning of the cooking plate by scraping with a spatula and pushing the scrapings into the fire under the rim.
