Simpson Strong-Tie CJTZ Concealed Joist Ties are designed to create a strong, concealed connection between a header/post and a beam. There are three preferred methods for installation: No routing of header/post or beam, routed header/post, or a routed beam. The package includes all necessary steel pins and Strong-Drive SDS Heavy Duty Connector Screws, and features a ZMAX coating, giving it greater corrosion resistance than a standard galvanized product.

Installation:

• Use all specified fasteners.
• The CJTZ package is supplied with all dowels and screws required. Screws require a hex head driver.
• Short pin versions are 2-3/4” in length, while Long pins are 4-3/4” in length.
• Router end of beam for screw heads for flush installation.
• The carried member may be sloped up or down to 45° with full table loads.
• To provide maximum beam width for use with short dowels, center in beam.

NOTE: The correct fasteners installed in the correct position must be used to achieve published load values
