Rick Hall made his name with the popular movie "Golden Melody: Muscle Shoals. This album is one of his most important works, "You Better Move On," which reached No. 24 in the U.S. in 1962 and became a masterpiece of not only Arthur's but also Rick's early works. It is said to have laid the foundation for the later rise of Southern Soul. Unfortunately for Arthur, the subsequent release of several singles in his home country at the time was not a great success. However, the songs on this CD were very popular in the U.K. The Rolling Stones covered "You Better Move On" and the Beatles covered "Anna" on their debut album "Please Please Me" released in 1963. The Beatles also covered "A Shot of Rhythm and Blues" and "Soldier of Love" on "The Beatles Live at the BBC. This is a masterpiece of the sweet country-soul style.
