The Atlas Trainman N Scale 42' Steel Gondola w/Cement Container Load is based on cars first produced in the steam era which operated in every corner of North America in many customer applications. Gondolas are Jacks of all trades and can be seen hauling everything from rock and ore to coal, machinery or less-than-carload (LCL) containers such as the supplied cement canister load. Short steel gondolas such as these were long lived with a few lasting into the 1990s in maintenance and work train service, while a few more reside in museums. These models feature injection-molded bodies, fine decoration, free-rolling trucks and AccuMate(R) knuckle couplers. The 42' Steel Gondola is one of many Atlas and Trainman N Scale gondolas.
