So far, 40 of the 53 of the versatile transporters ordered have been put into service with Air Transport Wing 62 in Wunstorf, Lower Saxony. Compared to the previous editions, the model of this edition is also printed with the EATC logo next to the door. Established in 2010 and based in Eindhoven, the Netherlands, the European Air Transport Command coordinates the transport and air refueling forces of Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands and Spain. When the need arises, the participating nations can call upon the pool of around 200 aircraft for transport and aerial refueling or medevac missions.
