Jersey European Airways was founded through a merger of two regional airlines in 1979. Its fleet in the 1990s was centered around the versatile British Aerospace 146. As the Exeter, South West England-based airline grew well beyond routes to and from Jersey, the airline shortened its name to British European, and shortly thereafter to FlyBe. Having operated a mixed fleet of BAe 146-100s, -200s, and -300s, our 1/200 scale release depicts G-JEAM, a long-bodied 300-series aircraft, named “Pride of Jersey”, which entered service with Jersey European Airways in 1993, and, later on carrying the FlyBe brand, was operated until 2008.
