Christian Thielemann
Description:
Christian Thielemann, who has served as Principal Conductor of the Staatskapelle Dresden and General Music Director of the Salzburg Easter Festival, is regarded as a world master of German music in both name and reality. Christian Thielemann is now one of the most important conductors of the Vienna Philharmonic, and their big project "Bruckner: The Complete Symphonies" is attracting a great deal of attention in preparation for the bicentennial anniversary of the composer's birth in 2024. The fifth volume is Bruckner's Fifth Symphony, which has a distinctive presence among Bruckner's mid-term symphonies and has been gaining popularity in recent years. It begins with pizzicato steps rather than the primal fog of tremolo that is characteristic of Bruckner, and the sense of construction by logic stands out more than in other symphonies. The fourth movement in particular, which uniquely combines sonata form and fugue, is overwhelming in its rallying section with its resonant brass chorale. This is Thielemann's specialty, and three different softwares have already been released. Thielemann's magnificent interpretation, which makes the most of the Vienna Philharmonic's rich and rich sound, is a must-hear. Christian Thielemann (conductor) was born in Berlin in 1959. He studied at the Stern Conservatory and became Karajan's assistant. After serving as General Music Director of the Deutsche Oper Berlin and Music Director of the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra, he has been Principal Conductor of the Staatskapelle Dresden since 2012 and General Music Director of the Salzburg Easter Festival since 2013. He is a master of German music with a focus on Wagner, Strauss, and Bruckner. Sony Music
