This is a listing for the FINISHING Fabrics ONLY - it includes enough border fabric for a border up to 10" and mitered plus binding fabric for the quilt top with up to a 10" border.  This will be enough to add 2 borders and binding for the single size bag, and will finish up to 80" x 80". 

Each year, we do something a little different.  This year, our theme is all the weird dances.  We have listed the names of some silly dances.  We will build you a bag based on that theme.  Just pull down on the section that says "style" and choose your dance.  Here is a great way to customize your bag; below the add to cart button, there is a section for Product Addons, choose a theme for your bag kit that you would like to coordinate with your chosen theme.  The border and binding will be included in the finishing pack.  We will cut your kit to order to combine the border and quilt theme.  In this section, you can also choose things to make your experience complete.  Backing fabric, suggested rulers and notions etc.

Please keep in mind that your bags will be cut to order so a little extra time might be needed to create this one of a kind project. 

The Brown Bag Mystery Quilt includes 100% cotton batik and/or printed cotton fabric and the cutting instructions. This Brown Bag Mystery Quilt will finish 60 in x 60 in before optional borders. Traditional quilt elements are combined to make an interesting design. You will get instruction on both rulers to use OR paper piecing to get accurate block piecing.

The first clue is available on March 20, International Quilt Day. The other four clues will be available every two weeks: April 3, April 17, May 1 and May 15. The last clue is the assembly instructions. Clues will be mailed on the day before copies are available to be picked up in the store.

A new private Facebook group for participants has been established. Karen Montgomery, our mystery quilt designer will do a Clue Video for each clue. It will be posted at midnight on the Friday before Clue Day. This will give you enough information for completing that clue and lots of tips and techniques along the way. A printed clue may be picked up at your shop on Clue Day. We will be mailing clues to all participants this year unless other arrangements are made.
