ZooPLASM™ Rotifers

This is a mixture of Rotifers and green phytoplankton. Rotifers have been a staple of the aquaculture world for decades. They are small zooplankton (100-200um) that swim through the water column ingesting any appropriate sized particle that is in front of them. They will hold onto any nutrition they find for approximately 4hrs. For this reason they are often “gut loaded” or fed with some nutritious food prior to harvesting or feeding to fish larvae or corals.

They are a staple in breeding but are also a great Live Feed to add to a coral tank. The corals will grab them as they move through the water. The Rotifers and phytoplankton will feed seahorses, small fish, corals, sps, some lps, soft corals, amphipods, gorgonians, crabs, and various other invertebrates. It can also be used for larval feeding and Greenwater mesocosms.

The Easy Feed Packaging™ allows for either drip or spot feeding. An air pump can be configured to the bag to increase the life span and/or turn the bag into a small rotifer culture vessel. Since these rotifers are a tropical species, they CANNOT BE REFRIGERATED.
