This brass Green Tara statue is beautifully depicted and a very heavy weight brass statue. It is hollow in the bottom so it can be filled.

Green Tara is believed to have originated from the tears of compassion shed by the Buddha Avalokiteshvara. According to legend, she was once a princess who vowed to always be reborn as a woman until all beings are free from suffering.

She is known as the Mother of all Buddhas, as she is the embodiment of the wisdom and compassion of all the Buddhas.
