Description:

He is a master of "old music flutes" with an unclouded research approach to the truth of the masterpieces of the 17th century, the "sacred texts" of the unaccompanied recorder, using all kinds of "flutes of the time", and an overwhelming performance ability. He is a unique player who made his debut on the ALPHA label with a bagpipe album featuring traditional music from south-central France, and his traverso playing brings the essence of the flute works of Bach and Telemann to life. Lazarevich confronts head-on the "Paradise of the Flute," a 17th-century Dutch collection of pieces that is considered a sacred book in the history of the recorder. The world of this collection, written by a blind carillon player who gave the townspeople a wonderful performance from a church in Utrecht, can be played on any type of flute, and is performed on the transverse flute, his principal instrument, as well as on recorders of all sizes, from soprano to bass, and on a variety of instruments used in the Baroque and Rococo periods, including the musette. He also uses the musette, a type of bagpipe used in the Baroque and Rococo periods, to reveal the world of these pieces. The performance is so rich in flavor that it captures the subtleties of van Eyck's skillful variations on famous melodies from the 17th century, and has an overwhelming presence that cannot be confined to the framework of classical music. The interview with van Eyck in the commentary is also very interesting, and another album of ALPHA's unique characteristics has been produced. Naxos Japan
