This is a collection of rare sound recordings from the days before the explosion of the Dokken, a band that boasts great popularity in Japan. Dokken debuted with "Breaking the Chains" in 1981, but before that, in the late 70's, Don Dokken (Vo), who was the core member of Dokken, was active in West Germany (at that time), then returned to L.A. and restarted Dokken with George Lynch (G), Mick Brown (Ds), and He restarted Dokken with George Lynch (G), Mick Brown (Ds), and Foan Krusche (B), who later joined RATT. After Dokken's worldwide success, the demos and other recordings made at the time of the restart leaked and were released in 1989 in a semi-pirated form under the title "Back in the Streets". This album is a fan-favorite compilation of the songs from "Back in the Streets," as well as rare recordings from Dokken's very early days, including some from his West German period and some (possibly first) releases, under the supervision of Don Dokken. This album is not only for Dokken fans, but also for L.A. metal fans and for the history of L.A. metal, and is a valuable and important reference work.
