Charles Melton 'Rose of Virginia' Barossa Valley is a distinctive rosé from Australia’s Barossa Valley, produced by the family-run Charles Melton winery in Tanunda. Named after winemaker Charlie Melton’s wife, Virginia, the wine is made primarily from Grenache with small amounts of Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon, reflecting the estate’s focus on traditional Barossa varieties.

The fruit is crushed, destemmed and cold-soaked on the skins before fermentation at low temperatures in stainless-steel tanks, a method designed to retain the wine’s vibrant fruit and delicate floral aromatics. Only the free-run juice is used.

Deep pink in colour and fuller in style than many rosés, it has aromas of strawberry, raspberry and Turkish delight with hints of peppery spice. The palate is dry and structured, balancing bright fruit with crisp acidity for a rosé that is both expressive and highly drinkable
