• About- Goldstone has a fun history. The first known occurrence of goldstone was in the early 1800’s. The story goes that monks from Italy started making the material and kept the procedure a closely guarded trade secret. Although other speculations exist about the origination of the material, this is the most widely recognized. Brownish red, green, yellow and blue were the original colors produced. Over time the mystery of goldstone was leaked, the truth being that it is not a natural material, but a man made molten glass with large amounts of copper fillings mixed in. When the copper fillings crystallize they actually form the glittery effect inside the material.
