At only 1.3kg (packed weight) the Velocity 1 is our lightest weight tent. It is a one-person 3-season tent that offers good internal space.

Easy to set-up

Like all Domex tents, the hub frame design means that the tent is quick and easy for one person to set up and being free-standing gives flexibility to erect the tent in all types of terrain, with the option of moving site before pegging the tent down.

Full of features

The Velocity 1 is packed with features including a Ripstop Nylon tent fly and floor, air vents for increased airflow and less condensation, a storage pocket and lantern loop plus a mesh inner tent to keep insects out.

With its low weight and pack-friendly dimensions, the Velocity 1 will appeal to anyone who prioritises travelling light yet it still provides comfortable interior space.

Why is it a good idea to use a Footprint?

We recommend using the footprint that matches this tent (an optional accessory) to protect your tent floor. It will also make packing up much easier and quicker. Any mud and debris will be confined to the footprint, meaning a quick wipe down of the condensation on the bottom of the tent floor is all that is required before rolling the tent up.

The Velocity 1 Footprint only weighs 170 gm, so even if you are trying to minimise what you are carrying, you may decide that the benefits of the Footprint outweigh the slight extra weight.

Easy to set-up
The hub-dome design with its inter-connected pole sections enables quick and easy set-up by one person. 

Free-standing design
Gives flexibility in sites with vegetation, uneven, wet or rocky terrain. Because the tent supports itself once the poles are inserted, it is able to be shifted easily (by one person) before it is pegged.

Colour-coded webbing and pole tips
Ensure correct matching of poles, inner tent and tent fly when setting up the tent.

Easily-identifiable points
Fluro webbing and zip toggles on inner tent plus luminous-fleck on outside zip, guylines and peg loops allow for easy identification in poor light conditions.

Ripstop Nylon tent fly
Ideal material for coping with rugged condtions.

Tent fly air vents
Increases airflow and reduce condensation. They can easily be closed if necessary.

Inner tent made of mesh
Increases airflow and keeps sandflies, mosquitos and other insects out.

1 vestibule
Plenty of space for storing gear outside the inner tent. Also provides extra weather protection.
