Apparently the name tank top refers to the sleeveless design of swimming costumes in Edwardian England - tanks being the name for swimming pools back in the day.

Our version is more suited to golf than swimming. It's made from a 12 gauge extra fine Merino wool - a natural fabric that's thinner and softer than regular wool. Merino is a natural performance fabric, keeping warmth in but wicking moisture away from the skin to keep you cool if the temperature drops.

The grey melange colour comes from the different coloured fibres in the yarn - a mix that creates a textured effect, turning a monochrome grey into a lovely shimmering tone that's almost silver. A navy Sounder half-star logo embroidered on the left chest completes the look.
