NOSE & PALATE: Aromas of spicy fresh pear, red apple and stone fruit combine beautifully with a creamy, fruit driven palate that is smooth, mouthwatering and has a lovely long finish.

WINEMAKING: A range of Pinot Gris blocks were harvested separately, pressed and cold settled. The juice was fermented using an aromatic yeast to enhance the flavour and richness of the wine. The fermentation was somewhat cool at around 15-16C to preserve the Pinot Gris characters. Fermentation was stopped leaving a small amount of residual sugar to balance the wine and increase its drinkability. The wine was left on gross lees for 3 weeks then racked to fine lees until blending. At blending, adding in 8% Riesling from the Waiata vineyard helped enhance the aromatics and drive of the wine.
