Description:
Scottish Alternative band Travis' fourth studio album, originally released in 2003, is now available for the first time on 180g heavy vinyl LP. This is the work that Elton John praised so highly, saying, "Like The Beatles' 'Revolver,' it takes you on a real journey." While Coldplay began their career following in the footsteps of Travis' "The Man Who" era songwriting, with frontman Fran Healy secretly battling depression at the time and the Iraq War in the background, Coldplay began to look outside in their songwriting Although Travis began to do so, he released socially conscious singles such as "Re-Offender," about domestic abuse, and "The Beautiful Occupation," which was inspired by the U.S. invasion of Iraq. If "Love Will Come Through" resembled the old Travis, it was through the filter of darkness that characterized much of "12 Memories," and the entire album took on shades of electronica, with the band rocking with a harder edge than before. It reached #3 on the UK album charts. Now on vinyl for the first time, it was produced at Metropolis Studios in London and pressed on black heavyweight vinyl.
