The main objective of this book is to definitively dismantle from a neurological perspective, the rationalist conception that human beings take decisions based on the exclusive use of reason separated from their bodies. Through multiple scientific experiments, by the author and by others, as well as examples from elite sportsmen, the author demonstrates the intervention of the whole body in the taking of risky decisions, as well as the preconscious level in which those processes occur. It later shows, in an equally convincing way, that the same thing happens, in the halls of financial transactions. / El objetivo principal de este libro es destruir definitivamente, sobre la base de las neurociencias, la concepción racionalista según la cual el ser humano toma decisiones mediante el uso exclusivo de una razón completamente separada del cuerpo. A través de múltiples experimentos científicos ajenos y propios, así como de ejemplos tomados de deportistas de elite, el autor expone la intervención de todo el cuerpo en la toma de decisiones en momentos cruciales de riesgo, así como el nivel preconsciente en el que se producen tales procesos. Luego muestra, de modo igualmente convincente, que lo mismo ocurre en la sala de transacciones financieras.
