Italian-born and influenced by the likes of Matisse, Cezanne, Monet, and Manet, this Post-Impressionist art master paints magical South African scenes with broad brushstrokes and a warm Mediterranean-influenced colour palette; he can combine colours in support and contrast in a way that thrills not only us, the “viewers” but also other South African artists.

The main subjects depicted in all sizes are landscapes and seascapes of South Africa, African township and market scenes, rural farming scenes depicting his iconic Wood Carrier women, vineyard scenes, as well as the magnificent, boldly colourful Namaqualand spring flower scenes.
