Slick Stick is Dixie Belle’s adhesion primer, which will allow you to paint on just about any surface, even the ones you never thought possible!

 

Remember, Dixie Belle will stick very well to many surfaces you wish to paint, but there are tricky projects that need that extra little help, like shiny or high gloss surfaces such as glass, veneer, melamine, tile, ceramic, metal or plastic. In these circumstances, Slick Stick is a great problem solver, simplifying the painting process and ensuring a well adhered result.

 

How to Apply:
Clean your piece first with a degreaser such as sugar soap. Rinse with clean water and let your piece dry thoroughly. Paint a thin coat of Slick Stick, allow to dry (usually 2 to 3 hours depending on humidity), then apply a second coat of Slick Stick. Allow to dry overnight and your surface will be ready to paint the following day.

 

*TOP TIP - if you are intending on painting a dark colour over the top of your Slick Stick, tint it with a tablespoon of Dixie Belle Caviar paint to create a grey Slick Stick. This will allow you to cover in less paint than if you leave your Slick Stick as a bright white.
