This is the fourth collection of works by Paraguayan guitarist and composer Barrios. A lover of his native folklore from an early age, he developed an interest in poetry and the guitar, and after graduating from college he traveled from country to country playing the guitar and performing his own poetry. During his lifetime, he composed more than 300 songs with guitar accompaniment using his own poems, as well as many songs for solo guitar. In these songs, he inhabited the unique atmosphere of Central and South America, such as Paraguayan polkas, zambas, Creole (colonial-born people) airs, and serenades. The performer, Lefik-Kaya, is a young Turkish guitarist who won the top prize at the Joan Falletta International Guitar Competition in 2012.
