How a 12-Hour Bezel Works

Built around a 12-hour scale, the Meridian bezel transforms your Black Bay 58 into a practical dual-time watch. After setting your watch to your local time, rotate the bezel so the hour corresponding to your second time zone aligns with the watch’s hour hand. From that point on, the hour hand simultaneously indicates both local time on the dial and the secondary time zone on the bezel. As the watch continues to run, both time zones remain accurately tracked without further adjustment.

This system requires no additional movement complexity and works entirely mechanically, making it intuitive, reliable, and easy to use in everyday wear. While it does not distinguish between AM and PM, it offers a fast, legible way to monitor a second time zone - ideal for travel, remote work, or keeping one eye on home.
