One owner watch, and presumed untouched case, at least since the caseback engraving was carried out - unlike today, Rolex watches could sit unsold in dealership windows for months and even years, so it's not untoward to assume the watch was sold in 1976, the year of the engraving

Small drag / tool marks on the dial a 10, 11 and 3 o'clock - which are really only visible in raking light, and do not detract at all from the otherwise excellent and original dial and hands
