The Shooters Cut shield ships in four distinct ballistic configurations. Level IIIA resists threats up to .44 Magnum, including 9mm and .357 SIG. Level III extends coverage to 7.62 FMJ and all handgun-class threats below it. Level III+ stops 5.56 M855 Green Tip and all lower rifle threats including 7.62 FMJ and handgun rounds. Level IV — the highest configuration — defeats .30 AP and all lower rifle and handgun threats.

The optional ballistic viewport window matches the ballistic rating of the shield body at every level, so there is no downgraded zone at the sight line. The shield dimensions are 31.5" x 19.5", delivering a coverage area suited to standing or low-ready tactical postures. Custom sizes are available on request.

Weight and mobility

The ergonomic handle on the rear of the shield is designed for sustained single-hand carry during active operations. At Level IV, the shield carries significant weight by nature of the ballistic material required to defeat .30 AP — a trolley is recommended for Level IV deployments to reduce operator fatigue during staging or transport. Levels IIIA through III+ are designed for hand carry throughout a tactical operation.

Viewport and design features

Left and right integrated rifle/pistol ports allow the operator to rest the firearm barrel on the shield edge and aim downrange without exposing hands or face. The optional viewport window is ballistically tested to the same level as the shield panel — not to a lower standard — which means the entire shield face maintains a single consistent protection level. An optional tactical light mounts to the front of the shield to support night operations. The shield body can be custom-designed in additional sizes beyond the standard 31.5" x 19.5" configuration.

What ballistic level is this shield?

How heavy is the Level IV shield?
