Crafted in early 1900s France, this faux bamboo mirror reflects the influence of the Napoleonic-era fascination with Asian design. Bamboo, rare and impractical to source in Europe, was reimagined by French artists in carved wood, offering the same organic form in a more refined, accessible way.

Over time, pieces like this became a staple in French interiors. As a result, she’s an iconic silhouette in antique design, equally at home above a dresser, layered over a console, or hung alone in a narrow hallway.
