Celebrating the 50th anniversary of the release of "Tommy," The Who's masterpiece and rock opera classic. Recorded live on the 2018 tour with Roger Daltrey performing "Tommy" with an orchestra, this is the first new recording in a year following As Long As I Have You (2018), a return to his roots that featured soul music he covered as a teenager. The Who's "Tommy" was released in 1969 and performed at Woodstock and the Isle of Wight Festival that year, among others, and since the 1970s has been performed/performed with many guests in a variety of forms, including ballet, opera, orchestra, film, and musicals (winning five Tony Awards and three Laurence Olivier Awards). This is Roger's first production with the company. This is a live recording of Roger performing with his band and 45-piece orchestra on his 2018 tour. The work celebrates the 50th anniversary of its release.
