Le Concert de l'Hostel Dieu
Description:
New version of Pergolesi's "Stabat Mater" with newly discovered manuscript score! Franck-Emmanuel Comte, who studied at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Lyon and is one of the leading artists and researchers in the field of French classical music, and Le Concert de l'Estre Dille, a period ensemble of vocal and instrumental musicians, of which Comte is the artistic director. Le Concert de Rostell Dieu has reproduced music that preserves the originality and uniqueness of the region from various manuscripts in the libraries of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region of France, and has demonstrated the diversity of Baroque music through collaborations with various genres, including folk music. This is a remarkable new recording that only Le Conseil de l'Esterel d'Ile could make. Centered around Pergolesi's "Stabat Mater" (version for five soloists), newly discovered in the Bibliothèque de Lyon in recent years, it combines Neapolitan polyphony and traditional dances to recreate the Holy Week in Naples, where sacred and folk music coexist.
